"To me, if life boils down to one thing, its movement. To live is to keep moving." -Jerry Seinfeld
Hi, I'm Mrs. Aranda, a PE/Dance Teacher!
I currently work as a Dance-PE teacher, serving Beattie Middle School in the Redlands Unified School District. Additionally, for the past 7 years I have been at Citrus Valley High School in Redlands, CA as the Color Guard Director. Through these roles, I have grown to adapt to the needs of students appropriate to their age while encouraging them to be active through their creativity. My passions for fitness and the performing arts have pushed me to further my education and obtain a Master of Arts in Education where I have learned may ways to make physical education and dance accessible through online/hybrid courses. Please feel free to browse my page to see a glimpse into my classroom and if you would like to contact me, my email is listed at the bottom. Thank you for visiting my site!

Courses:
6th Grade Dance-PE
7th/8th Grade Dance-PE
7th/8th Advanced Show Choir
Why do I teach?
I have been performing for half of my life, why not share my knowledge with our youth?!
I love showing students that you can still remain active without organized sport.
Dance is physical activity that also stimulates the mathematical and creative portions of the brain.
Teaching Philisophy
My goal as an educator is to create an all-inclusive environment to strive as a student in and out of my classroom. As an educator, I feel it is important to create a lasting positive impression while maintaining a professional relationship. I want my students to feel important and supported while in my care, despite their different backgrounds. Equal opportunity must and will be available for all students that I teach or advise. Creating lessons that my students can reflect and use later on in life in multiple aspect of life is always going to be a top priority and aligns with my pedagogy. My personal pedagogy is comprised of the knowledge, beliefs, values, dispositions, and experiences I have gathered thus far, and I call on these aspects to encourage students’ learning processes, development, creativity, and success in the inclusive and modern learning environment I strive to nourish. Lastly, I would like to acknowledge that my pedagogy will forever be changing as I continue to learn and grow during my journey as an educator.

It is my ultimate goal as an educator to foster a positive and supportive learning environment that protects all children and their right to learn while challenging them to explore their creative side through movement.
